![]() Summertime... and the living is definitely easier! The days are longer and the evenings linger. We love the warmth, sunshine, outdoor living (especially in the Northeast & middle of the country), fresh fruit and vegetables. Dust off the grill, break out the light white wines and chill the reds.
Our wines of the season complement light, easy-to-prepare summer foods. Salads (mustard-y potato or curry chicken), grilled vegetables, seafood, cold roast chicken and one of our all-time favorites... grilled flank steak (click here for a no-fail recipe). Featured white wines are Vouvray, Pinot Gris, Sancerre, Albarino, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling. Summer reds include Cote du Rhone, Zinfandel, Beaujolais and Pinot Noir; all with a slight chill. |
